Napoleon and Snowball have different ways in dealing with their situations on the farm. One has a harder approach and the other has a softer approach. They deal with their ways differently especially if there’s the fact their both aiming for the same position. In this essay I will contrast the differences and similarities Snowball and Napoleon have with one another and I will show you how George Orwell represented the two animals.

Differences:
Snowball and Napoleon need differences in order to reach the position their aiming for from different strategies to different opinions for example, When the big fight occurred with Mr.Jones and the Animals from the farm when Mr.Jones tried to reclaim his land from the animals. Snowball was leading the Animals and giving them orders and directions just like any normal loyal leader should do while Napoleon was laying on his back just being a selfish pig that he is. Snowball managed to win that war with a few cuts and bruises but if it weren’t for him then Mr.Jones would have had the farm back and Napoleon wouldn’t have really cared.

Although Napoleon doesn’t appear as a useful leader, he has many tricks up his mind which he covers up pretty smartly for a lazy selfish pig. For example, Napoleon went around to each dog and offered to educate their pup for free and the dogs obviously agreed but what they didn’t know is that he will be using the pups as his own privilege. He was using them to create and raise a army and “secret police”.

Similarities:
Although Napoleon and Snowball sound like they have nothing in common, they still have stuff they can reflect to for example their aim throughout the whole story is to reach the leader position which their both aiming for.
